Here are the Major Developments President Ibrahim Traoré has done so far

During Ibrahim Traoré’s two-year presidency, Burkina Faso experienced significant economic and infrastructural advancements.
Here are some of the highlights of President Traore’s two years of Presidency:
GDP growth
The nation’s GDP rose from around $18.8 billion to $22.1 billion.
Allocated Salary to most deserved beneficiary
Traoré implemented a 30% salary reduction for ministers and parliamentarians while increasing civil servants’ salaries by 50%.
Payoff domestic debt and install local products factory
He successfully cleared local debts and established two tomato processing facilities, marking the first of their kind in the country. In 2023, he inaugurated a modern gold mine to enhance local processing capabilities and ceased the export of unprocessed Burkinabe gold to Europe.
Additionally, he constructed the second cotton processing plant in Burkina Faso, which previously had only one, and launched the inaugural National Support Centre for Small-Scale Cotton Processing to aid local producers. His administration prioritized agriculture by distributing over 400 tractors, 239 power tillers, 710 motor pumps, and 714 motorcycles to enhance production and support rural communities. Access to improved seeds and agricultural inputs was facilitated to optimize output, resulting in an increase in tomato production from 315,000 tons in 2022 to 360,000 tons in 2024, millet production from 907,000 tons to 1.1 million tons, and rice production from 280,000 tons to 326,000 tons during the same period.

Adopt local cultural dress in the court
Traoré also prohibited the use of British wigs and robes in local courts, promoting traditional Burkinabé attire instead.
Withdrew from former colonial Rule
He prohibited French military operations and media presence in Burkina Faso, expelling French troops from the nation.
Construction/Infrastructure
His government is actively engaged in constructing new roads, widening existing ones, and upgrading gravel roads to paved surfaces. A new airport, Ouagadougou-Donsin Airport, is currently under construction, with an expected completion date in 2025 and a capacity to accommodate one million passengers annually.
Despite facing nearly 20 assassination attempts on his life and regime, Traoré continues to lead the country.
